But a few things need to be done before all of this happens…
The shed needs cleaning out and organising, a few days there.
Because all of the work getting done, this isn’t going to be done in a week, and I’m not going to have a bike on the bench taking up room and not being able to move it around, so, the bench is now mobile.

So I’ve welded some wheels to it (SWL 250Kg)

and to stop it moving around when I don’t it to, I’m going to weld on some more tags, tapped and drilled for 5/8 all thread and feet welded to one end, jack it up and off those pesky wheels that like to move around

have plenty of tie points to tie the bike down

Raising it up 140mm has now made the ramp a little too steep, so during the week, it’s raid the scrap bin at work to find bits to extend the ramp, and add some wings to make it the same width as the bench, easier to walk bikes up and down it.

Once all that is done, I’ll put the big brute up and strap it down ready to start stripping it.
While I’m digging in the scrap bin, I’ll dig out some bits of RHS/SHS and bit’s of 1.6mm zinc and make two smaller benches up, a rolling tool bench and another rolling one to sit the motor on so I can work on that nice and easy.
When it all gives me the shits, I can shove it all into a corner and throw covers over the whole bloody lot. Or when I have some extra work to finance the next ride or bike part. I’ve about a month’s work ahead of me making some fibreglass moulds for some flowerbed / garden bed thingy. The moulds will be mine, I just have to make a couple of these things. And I hope to sell a few more to finance a set of Beowulf cans for the FJR…
